SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This is the fourth workshop with the City Council on the Wastewater Facility Plan Update.
Previous workshops addressed existing conditions and anticipated capacity requirements; the
broad range of wastewater facility options and the selection and analysis of 17 promising
alternatives; and the selection of the five most promising alternatives.
CH2M Hill has prepared a technical evaluation of the five most promising wastewater treatment
storage and disposal options available to the City of McCall. This information was presented to
Council on December 14, to the project Technical Working Group on January 8, to the project
Policy Advisory Committee on January 24, and to the public at an open house on January 24.
CH2M Hill will recommend a preferred alternative to the City Council for discussion and
consideration. Once selected, the alternative will be subject to detailed analysis of performance,
cost, phasing, and potential impacts and a Facility Plan document will be prepared for Council
adoption. A technical memorandum dated December 27, 2006 has been distributed to City
Council and posted on the City web page.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Select a preferred alternative for detailed analysis and direct staff to complete the
Wastewater Facility Plan.
