No Trash & Recycling Collection in Leesburg on Thanksgiving
Day
Thursday collections will be shifted to Saturday.
Leesburg, VA (November 14, 2017) – There will be no trash, recycling or bulk item collection in
the Town of Leesburg on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23, 2017.
Residential customers in the Southeast and Southwest quadrants of Town (including South King
and West Market Street), who normally have trash and recycling collected on Thursdays, will
have those items collected on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Bulk items will also be collected
on Saturday, November 25. Requests for bulk item collections must be submitted by noon on
Wednesday, November 22.
For residential customers in the Northeast and Northwest quadrants of Town (including North
King Street), there are no changes to trash, recycling, or bulk item collection. All of these items
will be collected on Friday, November 24, as usual. Requests for bulk item collections must be
submitted by noon on Wednesday, November 22.
For curbside commercial customers, there will be no trash or recycling col lection on Thursday,
November 23, 2017. Trash and recycling will be collected for curbside commercial customers on
Friday, November 24, 2017. Saturday collections will take place as normal.
The Department of Public Works & Capital Projects offers automatic email notifications of
changes to trash and recycling collection schedules. Residents can sign up to receive these
notifications at www.leesburgva.gov/trash.
The Leesburg Town Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24,
2017, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
