Venable moved,Jcrdan secondeci:To allowthe bills and draw warrants
for the amounts.Moticn carried. A bill for pumping- out Petersons
cellar on the east side was turned down.
Venable moved,Senden seconded:To call a special election to vote
t or or against the sale of liquor, either malt,vinious and spiritious
in the Town of Ault .Motion carried.
Venable moved, idmaier seconded:That the proposed ordance for
calling a special election be passedand published according to law.
All voted ave.
Sanden moved,Tinker seconded:To appoint C,A.Braytcn,Deisy Pearson
and Eva Venable as judges for the sppcial election.Motion carried.
Jordan moved,Venable seconded:To a .dj ourn, subj ect to the call of the
Meyor.Motion carried.

Called Me et ing July 12 1938
This joint meetin_T with the school board was called to settle
of the price of the lease of one of the town lots and also -.-hat the
town would have to pay in return for renting the fire house.
Present : 4nde•rson,.Jorvdan, S anden, Tinker and Widmai er. Venabl e absent.
Widmaier moved,Sanden seconded:That the board lease the west lot
of the Town's for 99 years to the school board and in return the
Town should receive two years free rent for the fire truck. Anderson
and Jordan voted no . S Mnden, T ink er and Widmaier voted ate . Venabl e
absent.

school was to ray for the lease the sum of 1.00 beside the free
rent for the fire truck for the period of two years.
Sanden moved,Tinker seconded:To adjourn subject to the call of

Regular meeting August 2 1938
Meeting called to order at 7:45 P . . by the Mayor.
Members present:.Anderson,Jc-rdan,Sanden,Tinker,Venable & Widmaier.
The clerk reed the minutes of the regular meeting of July 5 and
called meeting of Julj. 12 wh i ch were apr rov ed .
A report of the Mayor and clerk that they had canvassed the votes
of the special election and that the result was 163 for the sale
of liquor and 138 e =-gains t t' e sale, showin ° that the sales of liquor
passed.To the best cf their knowledge to votes were legal.
The police pension fund for 6 mo.was 164.22.
;m.Kelly the town attorney stated in a letter that t ^e licenses
on liquor should be 150.0; on a packa.--e liquor store anTi that
an ordinance should be passed regulating the sale.

licenses in,Aefinately.Motion carried.There several persons present
who expressed their opinion cf how the licenses should be handled
