SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Improvement Committee (MIC) is a group of local residents and business owners working
together to enhance the infrastructure, appearance, and economy of McCall. The Committee consists of two
co-chairs, Judy Maguire and John Milliner; City staff Carol Coyle; eleven full-time members; and five to
ten part-time members. Meetings are held bi-monthly at the Artizen Gallery (monthly during the summer
months.)
Funding sources for MIC include the bi-annual Valentine’s Ball, the Holland Realty Golf Tournament,
Local Option Tax funds, private donations, and grants.
Projects recently completed by MIC include the Four Corners tree planting project, new benches in the
downtown area, and cooperative funding for the Civilian Conservation Corp statue and the Shortcut Statue.
Continuing projects include the flower pocket parks and the crosswalk flags alteration plan. MIC also
sponsors the annual Legacy Park Cleanup and for the McCall Spring Cleanup. The Committee is currently
researching a city-wide “wireless” project.
John Milliner will present MIC’S Annual Report to Council.
