SUMMARY STATEMENT: Bids will open at 2:00 PM on July 12, 2007 for the runway seal coat and re-
striping project. It is anticipated that bid amount will be less than $100,000. We are requesting
authorization to award the bid and to sign a contract for the project. Depending upon the contractor and the
needs of aviation, it is anticipated that the work will proceed within a few weeks. Work will be scheduled
for not to exceed four week days, with Tuesday through Friday being anticipated. Work will be in the
middle of the day, with runway closures and over one night after the seal coat has been applied
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Award the bid as presented at City Council and authorize contract signing.
