SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City’s signage ordinance language affords McCall Citizens the opportunity to construct internally
lighted signage, which is viewed as in conflict with other portions of the City Code and specifically the
City’s Dark Skies policies and the McCall Design Guidelines. If that assessment is correct then this text
amendment should reconcile that conflict.
On June 4, 2007 the McCall Planning and Zoning Commission (Commission) held a regularly scheduled
and noticed public hearing to consider this proposed text amendment and after considering all testimony -
recommended its approval to the McCall City Council.
The complete land use file is available for public review during normal working hours in the Community
Development Department located at the McCall City Hall, 216 East Park Street, McCall, Idaho 83638.
