A RESOLUTION: ADOPTING PAID PARKING ZONE MAP PURSUANT TO
TOWN CODE SECTION 32-173
WHEREAS, the Town Council is authorized to regulate by ordinance parking within
the Town limits, including establishment of paid parking, such as parking meters; and
WHEREAS, Town Code Chapter 32, Article V, Division 2 (Parking meters), has been
retitled "Paid parking" and amended concurrent with this Resolution to encompass parking
payment methods in addition to parking meters; and
WHEREAS, Town Code section 32-173, as amended concurrent with this Resolution,
adopts "paid parking zones" and provides for establishing the locations of such paid parking
zones by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds it in the best interest of the Town to continue paid
parking m all locations within the Town where parking meters currently exist; and
WHEREAS, the paid parking zone map proposed by staff reflects all current
metered/paid parking spaces within the Town.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that,
pursuant to Town Code Section 32-173, as amended this date, the Town of Leesburg Paid
Parking Zone Map dated December 13, 2022, is hereby adopted and the paid parking zones
depicted thereon are hereby established, effective upon passage of this Resolution.
PASSED this 13th day of December 2022.
