HomeMy Public PortalAbout2020_0203_CIO Changes to CRC websiteDriscoll, Michael From: McClure, Christopher Sent: Wednesday, February 03, 2021 1:00 PM To: Mark Sideris; Driscoll, Michael Subject: RE: Request from Communication Subcommittee - Website Modifications Thank you. This is all completed except for the Org chart. We are working an that now. 1. Leo Martin kindly put together some polling questions. We'd like to set up a poll on the website. I've attached the document here. (2020_90_Poll Questions_CRC_LM.docx) I was waiting for approval/discussion on this. I went ahead and added a link to this poll on the website: eCode360 Charter and Ordinances Collins Center Documents Take the Charter Review Poll Submit Questions or Comments We can promote as the Committee would like. 2. We would also like to set up a forum for people to ask questions or submit comments. I have talked to Chris about this but need to pursue it further to figure out moderation and response issues. I also went ahead and did this. We can collect comments/questions for now and decide if we want to create an FAQ later. I also updated all the contact/comment links to go to this form. We can promote as the Committee would like. 3. We want to make sure the the site is always up-to-date with current agendas, minutes, etc_ I am willing to help on that, but need access —if this is impossible, just need to discuss the best way to make this happen on Chris's end. As far as I know, this is happening. I post every document 1 get immediately. I link the next meeting to the top of the page as soon as the last meeting concludes. I update the agenda/documents link... as soon as they are ready. The one set of minutes I have received is posted and finked. I also send out a notify me when any new agendas, documents... are posted. These also get posted to the calendar notify me, social media... I created an area to organize all of the Collins Center documents to date. CHARTER REVIEW IS HAPPENING NOW! WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! The CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE is discussing and recommending chc governed, so now.• is your chance! Send in COMMENTS, sign up for NOTIFICATIONS. and JOIN THE VIRTUAL NEXT MEETINQ: Tuesday, Februaryj. 6:OOPM 4. We want to set up regular announcements for the new electronic boards, Facebook and Twitter. 1 can provide artwork. Then we would like to make sure that the names of the agenda, minutes, etc. documents follow this convention. Important Documents are named and linked clearly on the main page. I have not gone through and renamed all of the documents to date. I did organize all of the prior and new documents the best I could. I would be happy to go through and rename everything if someone can send me a list. There are many documents from the last review in 2010. 1 try and name and link any new documents sent to me or linked in other locations as clearly as possible. 6. Add org chart as pic on page, as well as link. I've attached the fle as a PNG, JPEG and PDF, Add the image (PNG or JPEG) between the first and second paragraphs in "What is a Charter Review?", along with a paragraph after the first: "To see how our Town Council/Town Manager government is organized now, who's who in the different departments and boards, see below. Click on the image to download a printable PDF." Add a link from the image to a downloadable PDF, Also, we should add this in other areas of the website when you have your reorg plan together, 6_ Small changes to website: 1 am waiting for final instructions an this. I attached a version of the org chart with all of the names removed for review. 7. Other small fixes: • under "What is a Charter Review?, take out link and PDF reference for "Charter Review Commission (CRC) (PDF)" in the first line of the second pp; use just regular text, no link. Also, change Commission to Committee. This was already done. • change "Charter Review Commission" to "Chart Review Committee" in 2 places under Members. This was already done. • check and fix any broken links This was already done and is periodically checked. If there are specific issues, please let me know and we will correct. • some spacing issues I do not see any glaring issues. If there are specific issues, please let me know and we will correct.
