SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Public Works Department requires a Wheel Loader with snow bucket and Motor Grader with snow
wing for winter snow removal. Two bids were received for rental of this equipment. CESCO at
$3,450/month each and Western States at $3,500/month for Loader and $3,750/month for Motor Grader.
The rental term is November 2007 to March 2008, or later as winter conditions exist. Additional month(s),
if needed, will be at same rate. Any hours over 100 hours/month will be charged at standard rate $34.50/hr.
Council approval is sought at this time to ensure reservation of suitable equipment from CESCO.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve rental of winter snow removal equipment from CESCO, and authorize the Mayor to sign all
necessary documents.
