SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee recommends signage for both the privately owned
North and South Docks gates located at Davis Beach. Attached is our findings, and the
recommendation of the P & R Committee and a brief summary of the process we followed.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
(1) Approve the dock signage and order staff to make and place signage at the North and
South Docks immediately. (2) Formalize Council Member Bailey’s recommendation to
leave the gates unlocked at all times, and put “child proof” door openers on each gate.
