SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Bids for the Roosevelt and Whipkey Waterline Upgrade Project were opened on August 30. Seven bids
were received, from Granite Excavation, Inc.; Terra-West, Inc.; H2 Excavation LLC; Bodiford
Construction, Inc.; Knife River; Brown Construction, Inc.; and Sommer Construction, Inc.
Construction will begin on approximately Monday September 17, and will take a maximum of 45 days.
Roosevelt Street will be done first.
Attached is a letter from CH2M Hill and an analysis of the bid results. The low bidder is Granite
Excavation, Inc.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Award the Roosevelt and Whipkey Waterline Upgrade construction contract to Granite Excavation, Inc.
and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
