SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Agenda Bill 07-165, on the 9/13/07 Council Agenda, re “Allocation of Returned LOT Funds”,
included an estimate of $15,000 for September 2007, the final month of FY’07. The actual
figures are now known to be $24,000, so an additional $9,000 is available for allocation. The
Council, on September 13, awarded the additional $15,000 (estimate) to the Golf Course for
the Irrigation Pump (LOT Request for funding application, attached). We knew then that the
total cost of the pump was going to be $33,000, and that a matching grant of $9000 was
available IF a total of $24,000 is contributed by the City. Consequently, we are recommending
the Council add an additional $9,000, to the previously awarded 15,000, for a total LOT grant
of $24,000, which will be supplemented by a $9,000 grant, for the total cost of $33,000 for this
Irrigation Pump project at our Golf Course.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Award $9,000 to Golf Course for the Irrigation Pump project.
