SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The proposed code amendment would change the way the building height is calculated within the City and Impact
Area of McCall. The current definition takes the lowest point at existing grade to the highest point of the building.
The proposed definition states, ‘Within any building footprint, height shall be measured vertically from any point on
a proposed or existing roof to the existing grade directly below said point on a proposed or existing roof. (The
highest to lowest measurement at any given vertical structure line.)”
On July 10 and August 7, 2007, the McCall Planning and Zoning Commission held a regularly scheduled and noticed
public hearing to consider this proposed text amendment. After considering all testimony, the Commission
recommended its approval to the McCall City Council.
