SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Mile High Marina’s Lease will expire December 31, 2007. Staff is proposing to extend the lease with Mile
High Marina for an additional period of ten years. This lease is coincident with the Submerged Lands
Lease from the Idaho Department of Lands, who have already extended.
Additionally, staff is recommending a change in rent for Mile High Marina. At this time the annual gross
rent is determined by dividing the total gross receipts for boat slip rental, divided by the number of boat
slips, multiplied by 3. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee is recommending that the annual
gross rent shall be 4% of the gross sales on total income from all sources or the Idaho Department of Lands
rate which is ever greater. Staff is recommending that the annual gross rent shall be 4% of the annual gross
boat slips rental receipts.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Provide guidance to staff. Ask staff to proceed with a resolution.
