Present: President Beva Miller and Secretary Cathy Merrell
Absent: Vice President Tim Trigg, Dr. John Hennette, and City Council Liaison
Steve Fields, Greencastle Community Schools Ex-Officio Member Dr.
Wayne Lewis, and Putnam County Library Ex-Officio Member David
Taylor
Also Present: City Engineer Garth Hughes, Eric Bernsee - Banner Graphic, Emily Knuth
and Kate Knahl—Greencastle Civic League,Assistant Park Director Phil
Cornelius, Park Maintenance Supervisor David Bault, and Parks&
Recreation Director Rod Weinschenk
Lack of Quorum
The Greencastle Board of Park Commissioners meeting was not called to order due to the
lack of a quorum.
Work Session
Ideas and comments were shared amongst those in attendance in regards to needed
repairs of the deck hydrant and water lines at the Greencastle Aquatics Center. City
Engineer G.Hughes gave Director R.Weinschenk direction, which includes excavating
openings at both ends and boring a new water line under the deck. This information will
be used by Weinschenk to seek at least three estimates from local contractors to complete
the needed repairs.
Otherwise, no park board decisions were made.
