SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City Clerk position has been vacant since May 2007. The Deputy City Manager/Treasurer
has been serving as Acting City Clerk during that time. Several applications were received for the
City Clerk position, and three finalists were interviewed. Brenna Chaloupka was one of the three
finalists for the position, and has been serving as Deputy City Clerk, attending Council meetings,
producing minutes, and other City Clerk duties as assigned by the City Manager and Deputy City
Manager.
Two members of the Council and several department heads participated in interviews with all
three finalists. Applications and resumes for all three finalists were provided to the City Council.
The City Manager seeks council confirmation, per McCall City Code 1-9-4(B), of his appointment
of Brenna Chaloupka to the permanent position of City Clerk.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Confirm the City Manager’s appointment of Brenna Chaloupka as City Clerk, per McCall
City Code 1-9-4(B).
