SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The proposed code amendment is regarding a graduated setback requirements for buildings within the scenic route
and airport zone. The full amendment is provided in the staff report and a map showing the setbacks is also provided.
According to MCC 3.13.04, all applications will come to the Commission for action, and then proceed for final
Council action. Final approval of amendments will require the concurrence of both the Commission and the Council.
On December 4, 2007, the McCall Planning and Zoning Commission held a regularly scheduled and noticed public
hearing to consider this proposed text amendment. After considering all testimony, the Commission recommended
its denial to the McCall City Council. The Commission recognized the need to modify the setback requirements in
the airport zone but felt the amendment should be created with input from the Airport Advisory Committee, local
designers, citizens, and City staff.
