Called meet igg Sept.12 1939.
The Maior called the meeting at 8:0C P.M. to meet with the sdhool
board to consider the application of Verne Woods for a 8 % beer
and wine license.
Anderson,Jorden and Sanden present. Venable and Widmaier absent.
lithe schbol board were all present.
ME.Smith explained that he had beep in Denver and while there he
had seen Geo.Saunders,Sec'y of State about the poll hall being
within 500 ft.of the school gym and Saunders said that if the
town board would show their approval of the application that he
would grant the license.The Mayor asked each of the members of
the school board what they thought, One expressed himself by saying
that he thought that the 3.2% beer, we enough but that he gould
not make an obj ection. The other members gave their consent. The
Mayor was to sign the application.
The clerk was instructed to write M .Miller who owned lots
jest west of the Johnson store to rer it his sidewalk.
Meeting adj ourned.
