SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This is the fifth workshop with the City Council on the Wastewater Facility Plan Update. Previous
workshops addressed existing conditions and anticipated capacity requirements; the broad range of
wastewater facility options and the selection and analysis of 17 promising alternatives; the selection of the
five most promising alternatives, and the selection of a preferred treatment method and two disposal
methods for further analysis.
A public hearing is required as part of the Wastewater Facility Plan process. It does not have to be a
Council meeting, and has been tentatively scheduled for Tuesday April 24 at 6:00 pm in the Legion Hall.
City staff and/or CH2M Hill staff will conduct the public hearing and receive comments from the public
regarding the preferred treatment method and two disposal methods.
In preparation for the April 24 Public Hearing, CH2M Hill is preparing a technical memorandum on
implementation of the preferred treatment method and two disposal methods. That technical memorandum
will be completed early next week, in advance of the Council meeting, and presented to the Council as part
of this workshop.
Technical Working Group (TWiG) and Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings are being schedule for
the first two weeks of April. Following the public hearing, CH2M Hill will again meet with the Council and
the Council will select one complete alternative for inclusion in the Wastewater Facility Plan.
