SUMMARY STATEMENT:

April 2007 marks the 39 anniversary of the passage of Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, known as
the Federal Fair Housing Act. The State of Idaho Human Rights Commission Act has prohibited
discrimination in housing since 1969. Equal opportunity for all is a fundamental goal of our nation, state
and the City of McCall, Valley County.
April 2007 has been designated as Fair Housing Month to emphasize the continued cooperation,
commitment and support of all Idahoans to promote fair housing.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the attached Proclamation and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents
