Regular meeting January 2 1940
The meeting was opened by the Mayor at 7:40 i.d.
Anderson, Jordan and Venable were present,Sanden and jidmaier were
absent.
The hoard a _ rroved the minutes of the regular meeting of Dec .5.
The Pittsburgh Meter Co.wrote that they would give the Town a 500
discount on the meters and repairs bought of them.

The Mayor called this meeting to consider ways to handle and relief
which might come in for the Finns.
Anderson, Jordan,Venable and =idmaier present.
Anderson moved, Jordan seconded:That the editor of the local paper
be designated ace representive to receive any donations for Finnish
relief and publish the ame.1r.Neisler was to be asked to handle
the money if the editor could not.Motion carried.
Anderson moved,Venable seconded:To ad. journ.ot'_on carried.

At 7:40 P.M. the meeting was called to order by the Mayor.
Members present were:Anderson, Jordan, ean.den, Venable and Jidmaier.
The clerk read the minutes of the regular meeting of Jan.2 and
the called meeting of Jan.17 which were a droved as read.
Sanden moved, Anderson seconded: To grant a license for a bowling
alley to Frank Swartz and Fred Fletcher for the term of one year for
the sum of S 25.00.Motion carried.
Venable moved, Jordan seconded, To grant a dray license to Ernest
Bever to haul for the j.R.Co.and for George Adams for the term of on
year for the sum of 45.00.Motion carried.
Jordan moved, lidma i er s ec onded: To renew the fray license of
Ken Brake for one year for the sum of 5.00.Mo. tion carried.
An applicationto act as election judge was made by Mrs.7itma
Meeker,but no _action was taken.
