SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On April 3, 2007 the McCall Planning and Zoning Commission held a regularly scheduled and noticed
public hearing for purpose of evaluating a zoning map amendment request to rezone the City of McCall
Airport property from the Industrial (I) zone to the Airport Zone (AP.)
After considering all public testimony, the Commission recommended that the City Council deny the
zoning map amendment, ZON-07-1. First, the Commission felt that the rezone was pre-mature given that
the Airport Master Plan and Comprehensive Plan are in process and not completed. Second, the
Commission argued that they could not recommend approval for rezone of a property contrary to the future
land use map. The current McCall Area Comprehensive Plan identifies the property as “Industrial.”
The complete land use file is available for public review during normal working hours in the Community
Development Department located at the McCall City Hall, 216 East Park Street, McCall, Idaho 83638.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt the Findings & Conclusions for the ZON-07-1 and authorize the Mayor to sign.
Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only, Ordinance No. _______.
Adopt Ordinance No. _______, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
