SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall let out bid packages for the 2007 Street Dust Abatement Program to Lyman Dust
Control, Dustbuster, Inc., and North American Dust Control. Lyman Dust Control declined to submit a bid,
and Dustbuster, Inc., was not able to fulfill the bid requirement concerning retention of excess material
after all streets have been coated.
The City awarded the contract to North American Dust Control, of Emmett, Idaho, for a total cost of
$30,060, including freight, application and fuel surcharge. The first application of magnesium chloride will

be made on all unpaved city streets on Thursday, May 31. A second application will be done in
approximately four weeks.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve North American Dust Control as the contractor for the 2007 City of McCall Street Dust
Abatement Program, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
