The Mayor said that he would reappoint the same committees as last two years except that Mr.Fullmer was to take the place of Jm.Tinker on each committee that he had been named on. Sanden moved, didmaier seconded:To adjourn subject to the call of the Mayor.idotion carried. ,��•` Clerk � rril 15 940 Called meeting The Mayor called the meeting for the pur } os e of eonsidering the making of a settlement with y .haney whose truck had been impounded by the marshal for being parked in the street by the son without a driver and who thought the truck had been damaged by freezing while being held by the town during a blin,zard.The track had keen stored in the Dodge garae but had been run out by them to make more room during a snow storm. Fullmer, Jordan, Sanden,Venableand °Iidmaier present. inderson absent. ar.Haney was asked to attend the meeting but he did not and his lawyer had sent worn by , 1dna i er they wanted 20 a day for 8 days that the truck was idle and also a new motor to replace the one they claimed was frozen andthe block broken while in the possession of the town. 1r.`7idmaier said that he had talked to the aaC man and that he had said that if the town did not have any ordinance for impounding truck and cars, that they might be liable for the cost to the trucker for the time lost. iir.i1ac t:enzie gave his version of the incident,stating that he had been having trouble wit rr the haney boy in the manner he had been handling the truck on the streets and that he did net think that it wa possible for the track to having been frozen while in his possession. he said that he found the truck parked in the street without a driver and that when he got into the truck to move it that the ha.ney boy came out and asked him if he could not state' it and then he told the boy to come on down to the hall but that he ciid not.
