SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Tamarack Resort is requesting to hang a highway banner to advertise for the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix
Event. The Grand Prix is a national event promoting the sport of Snowboarding and helps develop the U.S.
riders for the Olympic Team. The event dates are February 9 & 10, 2008, and they are free to the public.
McCall City Code reads:
3.9.04: TEMPORARY SIGNS: The following signs shall be permitted anywhere within the planning
jurisdiction and shall not require a permit:
(D) Street Banner Signs: Street banner signs advertising a public entertainment or event, if, after the
submittal and approval by the council of an application, and only for locations designated by the
administrator, during and for fourteen (14) days before and seven (7) days after the event.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve request to hang highway banner for the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix Event.
