JANUARY 5, 1983 PRESENT: William Mayer Kenneth Rubsamen Thomas Boucher Charles Eaton ABSENT: Charles Wanio Also attending: Barbara Gwynn, Town Clerk; Nancy Adams, Assistant Town Clerk. The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by Chairman William Mayer. Mr. Henry Harding, architect, presented preliminary plans for four build- ings, two story in heighth on the Shirley Staley property, 2435 North Ocean Boulevard. Mr. Digby Bridges, Mr. Gordon Ripma and Mr. Stevens were also present. Mr. Harding requested the Town issue a letter to him stating it does not object to an emergency fire lane on the east lawn of the property. He said he was aware of the restriction of not building beyond the setback lines, however, he stated this road goes beyond the coastal setback line and therefore the letter was needed from the Town before he approached the State. Mr. Mayer said he would approve noting in the letter this was to be used for a fire lane only. The heighth of the buildings were discussed and Mr. Harding said they were approximately 32 feet. Mr. Bridges said he was considering the Canadian systems of drainage or septic tanks. The Board asked for a complete set of site plans and a copy of what material is being used along with a request for the variance. The Board approved plans for a replacement of a screen enclosure of a pool area at the residence of Leslie Larson, 810 Canary Walk by Screenco North. Plans were submitted by Curry Smith Jaudon Architects, Inc. of Tampa, Florida for interior and exterior renovations and additions at the home of Alden Bryan, 588 Banyan Road. The Board reviewed the plans and asked for final drawings, including heighth. Mr. Rubsamen suggested Mr. Curry should be advised that they should abide by the Palm Beach County Build- ing requirements and the Southern Standard Building Code. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A.M. D. A -1 -A (Ocean Boulevard) and the North line of the South 1640 feet of said Government Lot 3; thence Easterly, along said Northerly line of the South 1640 feet of said Government Lot 3, a distance of 187.50 feet to the Point of Beginning of the parcel to be herein described; thence North- easterly, parallel with the said Easterly right of way line of S.R.D. A -1 -A (Ocean Boulevard), a distance of 12.30 feet; thence Southeasterly at right angles to the preceeding course, a distance of 53.60 feet to a point on the said North line of the South 1640 feet of Government Lot 3; thence Westerly, along the said North line of the South 1640 feet of Government Lot 3, a dis- tance of 55.0 feet to the Point of Beginning aforedescribed. Gordon Ripma and Peter Stevens wish to apply for a variance at the above described property, consisting of the laying of turf block in the form of a 15 ft. fire lane, swimming pool decks and hedge to the said decks, east of the Coastal Construction Control Line. The extent of the fire lane and decks can be seen on Drawing Al. The fire lane will only be used for official fire vehicles.
