There will be a
Meeting of the PLA wmG BOARD
of
THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA
Wednesday AT THE TOWN HALL
January 5 1983 , at 9:00 A.M.
Deputy Town Clerk.
JANUARY 5, 1983
PRESENT: William Mayer
Kenneth Rubsamen
Thomas Boucher
Charles Eaton
ABSENT: Charles Wanio
Also attending: Barbara Gwynn, Town Clerk; Nancy Adams, Assistant Town
Clerk.
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by Chairman William Mayer.
Mr. Henry Harding, architect, presented preliminary plans for four build-
ings, two story in heighth on the Shirley Staley property, 2435 North
Ocean Boulevard. Mr. Digby Bridges, Mr. Gordon Ripma and Mr. Stevens
were also present. Mr. Harding requested the Town issue a letter to him
stating it does not object to an emergency fire lane on the east lawn of
the property. He said he was aware of the restriction of not building
beyond the setback lines, however, he stated this road goes beyond the
coastal setback line and therefore the letter was needed from the Town
before he approached the State. Mr. Mayer said he would approve noting
in the letter this was to be used for a fire lane only. The heighth of
the buildings were discussed and Mr. Harding said they were approximately
32 feet. Mr. Bridges said he was considering the Canadian systems of
drainage or septic tanks. The Board asked for a complete set of site
plans and a copy of what material is being used along with a request
for the variance.
The Board approved plans for a replacement of a screen enclosure of a
pool area at the residence of Leslie Larson, 810 Canary Walk by Screenco
North.
Plans were submitted by Curry Smith Jaudon Architects, Inc. of Tampa,
Florida for interior and exterior renovations and additions at the home
of Alden Bryan, 588 Banyan Road. The Board reviewed the plans and asked
for final drawings, including heighth. Mr. Rubsamen suggested Mr. Curry
should be advised that they should abide by the Palm Beach County Build-
ing requirements and the Southern Standard Building Code.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A.M.
