PLANNING BOARD MEETING
FEBRUARY 2, 1983
PRESENT: William Mayer, Chairman
Charles Eaton
Kenneth Rubsamen
Thomas O. Boucher
ABSENT: Charles Wanio
ALSO ATTENDING: Town Clerk Barbara Gwynn
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M.
The variance request by Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence C. Eaton, 3777 GUlfstream Road,
for a swinuing pool 11 feet from the rear property line was considered.
Town Clerk Barbara Gwynn advised the Board members that the advertising
in the newspaper has been done, and the residents have been notified.
There was no objection to said variance, and same was approved, and
will go before the Cc mLission on February 11, 1983 for final approval.
Request by Gordon Ripma for approval to replace the fence around the
construction site and requesting approval of a trailer on the site of
the Staley property on North Ocean Boulevard was considered. Mr. Boucher
requested a sketch of the construction site and plans. There was discussion
about the landscaping and needed parking spaces by Mr. Rubsamen.
Approval was also requested by Mr. Ripma for a sign on said property.
There was a lengthy discussion about the size of signs. It was decided
to allow three temporary signs:
1 - Double face - identifying the project, developer and realtor.
1 - Contractor.
1 - Architect.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned at 10:15 A.M.

Gentlemen,
I, Lawrence C. Eaton, of 3777 Gulfstream Road, Gulfstream, Florida,
respectfully request a zoning variance of four feet from the
back yard setback line for the purpose of building a swimming
pool.
This will mean that instead of fifteen feet from the property
line it would consist of eleven feet in terns of the setback.
It should also be noted that my property line has a cinder block
wall allowing a maximum of privacy from the abutting neighbor.
I feel that due to the original changes in the zoning ordinance
that I have been placed in a position of hardship and therefore
do request that I be granted a variance in order that I may have
the privilege of enjoying a swimming pool in my back yard.
Attached hereto, please find plan of the property construction.
