Library City Attorney Originator TIMELINE: ASAP Grant Coordinator Other: ( ) SUMMARY STATEMENT: The City attorney, ICRMP, and Hartwell worked with staff to develop a short term lease of art projects, placed in McCall, which we will insure for the value stated by the artist. The first art piece to be insured are metal fishes, created by Phil Wilcomb, are place in front of Toll Station Pizza, on Railroad Drive. (pictures of art work, attached) The value of the art piece, estimated by the artist is $2,850. The cost of adding this amount to our insurance is included in our Public Entity Insurance Policy. The policy to insure public art pieces was requested by the City Council in 2004. The Phil Wilcomb fish project is the first public art to be so insured. We will get Mr. Wilcomb's notarized signature should the Council approve the contract.
