SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Staff and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee is recommending to amend the City
Code in order to change the hours of operations at Harshman Skate Park and Davis Beach and
to prohibit alcohol at Harshman Skate Park.
Staff suggests changing the hours of operation Harshman Skate Park and Davis Beach from "6
a.m. until 11 p.m"to "dawn till dusk"due to the minimal lighting in those parks and to help control
noise pollution for surrounding home owners.
Staff finds that the majority of the participants using Harshman Skate Park are under the age of
21, and therefore recommends prohibiting alcohol in this park.
