SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The University of Idaho is requesting a letter of support of a continued UI presence in McCall, and the Ponderosa
Institute vision for the future of the Field Campus located adjacent to Ponderosa State Park. Attached is a draft letter
of support from the Council to Idaho Department of Lands State Board of Land Commissioners.
For nearly 70 years, the University of Idaho has provided educational opportunities for students and the public from its
field campus located in the McCall City limits.
The Ponderosa Institute would have three primary purposes: 1) youth education; 2) adult and community education,
and 3) professional and continuing education.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Sign the letter of support to send to the State Land Board in support of the continued UI presence on the property.
