A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO TRIMMING LAND COMPANY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT NOT-TO-
EXCEED $312,256 FOR THE TREE PRUNING AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES
(BASIC SERVICES ONLY) AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the current tree trimming contract expired during FY 2008-09; and
WHEREAS, such services are needed to maintain the city trees; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place on June 18, 2009, and Trimming Land
Company, Inc. was the apparent lowest bidder for its total bid of $417,943.50; and
WHEREAS, Trimming Land Company, Inc. bid for Basic Service (Grid Trimming)
is $282,256 for all four zones; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience and contractor's license for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Trimming Pruning and Maintenance
Services be awarded to Trimming Land Company, Inc. for its low bid of $282,256 for
Basic Services, grid trimming of all four zones and $15,000 for additional services and
$15,000 for emergency services for a total of $312,256 for FY 2009-2010.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and Trimming Land Company, Inc. in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
