Animal Shelter Advisory Committee Meeting
Tuesday, December 20 2022
Members Present:
Dr. Greg Boyer, Chair Dr. Stacey Beddoe
Matthew Barry, Animal Control Manager Dr. Jessica Greene
Dr. Travis Schaller, Shelter Veterinarian Lt. Chad Stieferman

The Animal Shelter Committee met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday December 20th at 12:30 p.m. in the
Conference Room, Jefferson City Animal Shelter, 2308 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City Missouri. The meeting was called
to order by Dr. Boyer, Chair.
Approval of Minutes
Dr Boyer moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. Dr. Beddoe seconded the motion.
Staff Reports
Matthew Barry provided the Animal Case Statistics from January 1st 2022 through December 20th 2022 for the Advisory
Board to review. Matthew Barry also advised the Shelter is down two staff members.
Dr. Boyer while reviewing the Case Statistics asked what Owner Request Euthanasia meant. Dr Schaller explained the
process when someone brings an animal to the shelter to be euthanized.
Chief Wilde offered support and also input from the Board on any future needs at the Shelter when they arise.
Lt Stieferman stated the current projects needed to be done are getting a storage container, dehumidifiers for the HVAC
and fixing the epoxy flooring that is chipping in the outdoor kennel area.
