SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The National MS Society — Idaho Division has requested permission to hang a highway banner for their
fundraising event Bike MS: Road, Sweat and Gear Ride McCall 2008. The event dates are August 23 & 24,
2008. They have requested the banner be hung from July 21 through August 11, 2008.
McCall City Code reads:
3.9.04: TEMPORARY SIGNS: The following signs shall be permitted anywhere within the planning
jurisdiction and shall not require a permit:
(D) Street Banner Signs: Street banner signs advertising a public entertainment or event, if, after the
submittal and approval by the council of an application, and only for locations designated by the
administrator, during and for fourteen (14) days before and seven (7) days after the event.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve request to hang highway banner for the Bike MS: Road, Sweat and Gears Ride 2008
