APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT -
WEINER LESNIAK
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret was in need of specialized legal services in the
matter of Makwinski v. The Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, the previous Borough Attorney, as the Borough's chief legal counsel,
requested the law firm of Weiner Lesniak to perform said services on behalf of Carteret;
and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available in the 2001
budget to provide for the payment of said professional legal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that payment to the law finn of Weiner Lesniak for the legal services provided
in the Makwinski v. Borough of Carteret matter, in the amount of $16, 676.93, is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this contract is awarded as a professional service
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-2(6).
