SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Update by Esther Mulnick with Recycle Partners on the status of the recycling center.
Recycle Partners was awarded $44,000 by the LOT Commission for FY08. Recycle Partners is the last
applicant to receive funding from LOT taxes. The City has received enough Local Option Tax funds to make
the first $22,000 payment to Recycle Partners at this time. The City anticipates receiving most, if not all, of
the funds to make the final $22,000 payment to Recycle Partners when the September taxes are collected.
Those taxes are due to the City by October 20, 2008.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the City to make the first $22,000 payment to Recycle Partners from the funds available at this
time and to make the second $22,000 payment to Recycle Partners when those funds become available in
October.
