One of the code amendments is related to the standards of the Civic zone. The amendment changes the setbacks to the same standards applied Central Business District (CBD.) A note is added for circumstances when the Civic zone is residential zone. The other amendment is related to the procedure for zoning ordinance amendments. amendment deletes, "Final approval of amendments will require the concurrence of both the Commission the Council" at the recommendation of the City Attorney. Rather than continually proposing couple of code amendments each month, staff plans to bring the current minor code amendments to the P&Z during the October 7, 2008 meeting.
