RE: Agenda Item—Transfer of Funds Request
Enclosed please find correspondence from Mario A. Orangio, Fire Chief, requesting a transfer of
funds to pay for emergency repairs to Engine 1 utilizing monies related to the mechanic's stipend
that are available as a result of a recent retirement.
Therefore, I respectfully request the attached transfer be placed on the February 24, 2015 Town
Council Agenda.

Subject: Transfer to Apparatus Maintenance
This request to transfer funds from the FD salary account to the apparatus maintenance account is
needed to pay for emergency repairs to Engine 1 related to pump valves damaged by the freezing
temperatures recently experienced. I am requesting that $6,000 be transferred to pay the cost of
these repairs. This is salary that had been intended to pay the mechanic's stipend for Firefighter
Mosea who retired in January. Please let me know if you have any questions, thank you for your
attention to this matter.
