Under this agreement, the lease rates were escalated to 12 cents per square foot uncovered and 23 cents per square foot covered. A new lease agreement with a lease term of 20 years plus options for an additional 20 years has been prepared for the easterly portion upon which the new hangar is situated and charged at a rate of 35 cents per square foot equaling $1,662.50, plus an access fee of $522, for a total annual lease and access fee of $2,184.50. Should Mr. Webster decide not to have a new lease, but rather an assignment of the old lease split, and then he would have a remaining lease term of approximately 3 years, plus an option for another 20 years. His lease fee would be lower at $1,358.38. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the attached lease agreement and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents. RECORD OF COUNCIL ACTION Meeting Date ACTION April 12, 2007 AB-07-61 approved a lease amendment and split for Lots 210 5A &5, two leases established and that one or both of these leases could be sold or assigned in the future.
