SUMMARY STATEMENT:
As previously approved by City Council, Rik and Kathy Poston have constructed a new hangar on lot 5B,
and have entered into an agreement to sell this hangar. Under this agreement, the lease rates were escalated
to 12 cents per square foot uncovered and 23 cents per square foot covered. A new lease agreement with a
lease term of 20 years plus options for an additional 20 years has been prepared for the easterly portion upon
which the new hangar is situated and charged at a rate of 35 cents per square foot equaling $1,662.50, plus
an access fee of $522, for a total annual lease and access fee of $2,184.50. Should Mr. Webster decide not
to have a new lease, but rather an assignment of the old lease split, and then he would have a remaining lease
term of approximately 3 years, plus an option for another 20 years. His lease fee would be lower at
$1,358.38.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the attached lease agreement and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
