SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The library has been without a copier for 2 months as our 6 year old copier has died. The budget was
planned with a new lease in place.
Three companies were contacted for bids, Ikon (current vendor), Valley Office Systems, and Digital
Imaging. Ikon and Valley Office Systems offered a Ricoh at very similar lease prices, and Digital Imaging
by Xerox was considerably more expensive.
We chose to keep the same company, Ikon, and keep the coin changer that we had for the old copier, and
switch to a new Ricoh machine. This is a 5 year lease and includes all maintenance, labor, parts, drums and
toner. We supply only the paper.
Attached is the lease agreement (2 pages)
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the lease with Ikon and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
