SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation administers grant funds for repairs of pumpout stations and
dump stations. The boat pumpout at Legacy Park was installed in 1999, and has been repaired since then,
but Parks Staff have advised that the pump needs replacement, and has been non-functional since July,
2009. The cost estimate for replacement is $5865 plus labor and electrical work.
The grant requires a 25% match. Staff will contact Valley County Waterway Board to determine if the
County can provide the required matching funds for the pumpout.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve submission of a Clean Vessel Act grant application, contingent upon receiving matching
funding, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
