HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 95-34441 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 95 -3444 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY CREATING AND REESTABLISHING VEHICLE PARKING REGULATIONS PROHIBITING AND RESTRICTING VEHICLE PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS AND WITHIN PUBLIC PARKING AREAS PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE SECTION 22507 WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Temple City has determined that throughout the City's existence as an incorporated municipality, various City Councils have established vehicle parking regulations prohibiting and restricting vehicle parking on certain streets and within public parking areas as provided for in Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code; and WHEREAS, The City Council finds that not all of the applicable resolutions and authorizations establishing vehicle parking regulations are retrievable from the City's public records archives; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to create a new record of authorizations for vehicle parking regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council finds that a survey of all streets and public areas where vehicle parking regulations are applicable has been conducted and all such locations where vehicle parking is prohibited or restricted are properly posted and appropriate for the safety and well-being of the community. SECTION 2. The City Council hereby validated all vehicle parking regulations on public streets and in those areas where such prohibitions and restrictions are presently signed and posted. SECTION 3. Such streets and public areas shall include the following a) All publicly owned vehicle parking facilities. b) All vehicle parking lots abutting general government buildings, public parks, and appurtenant facilities. c) All public streets where vehicle parking is prohibited between the hours of 3 and 5 a.m. by City ordinance. d) All streets that have been surveyed for vehicular speed limit enforcement by radar devices. e) All designated truck routes established by City Council resolution. f) All public streets having a maximum gross vehicle weight limit. g) All primary thoroughfares. Live Oak Avenue Encinita Avenue Olive Street Oak Avenue i) All residential through streets Burton Avenue Hart Avenue Alessandro Avenue Primrose Avenue Kauffman Avenue Rowland Avenue Daines Drive Garibaldi Avenue Pal Mal Avenue Longden Avenue Broadway Golden West Avenue El Monte Avenue Muscatel Avenue Loma Avenue Cloverly Avenue Camellia Avenue Agnes Avenue Arden Avenue Workman Avenue Halifax Avenue Persimmon Avenue SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on this 1st day of August 1995. itd .D�.
