SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On April 24, 2008 the City Council adopted Resolution 08-11 authorizing the refund of Community Housing
fees collected under Ordinance 820, and on June 26, 2008 the City Council adopted Resolution 08-17 to
allow applicants wishing to rescind their offer to pay the voluntary fee under Ordinances 827 and 833.
Eligible entities had more than 18 months to request a refund under Ordinance 820 and 16 months to request
a refund under Ordinances 827 and 833.
The City of McCall has refunded a total of 45 refund requests that equate to approximately $75,248. In the
past 9 months, there has been only 1 request for a refund. Sufficient time has been provided to eligible
entities to request refunds for Community Housing Fees. The City of McCall auditors recommended it is in
the best interest of the City to have end date for the refund policy.
The attached Resolution outlines the series of events related to Community Housing Fees and refund
policies. This Resolution repeals the former refund policy and will not allow further refunds for fees paid
under Ordinance 820, 827 or 833.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution 09-10 and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
