Presenls the following Ordinance Seconded by Councilman
AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 160
ENTITLED LAND DEVELOPMENT
As recommended by the Carteret PlaIming Board:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as follows:
Section 1.

160 Attachment 1, entitled Borough ofCarteret, Development
Ordinance, Bulk Schedule, as the same sets forth the bulk standards for
the R-SO Zone, shall be amended and supplemented as follows with the
remainder of said Attachment remaining unchanged:
Minimum single-family residentiaJ 10t size (feet) shall be increased to
"65xl00".
Minimum lot area (square fect) shall be increased to "6,500".
Minimum lot width (feet) shall be increased to "65".
Section 160-28, entitled R-50 Residential Zone regulations, is hereby
amended and supplemented to add a new Subsection H to read as follows:
An legally existing dwellings, and the expansion and enlargement of the
same, provided said dwel1ings as expanded and erilarged, strictly comply
with the presently existing bulk regulations set forth in Subsection D,
except for minimum single~ family residential lot size, minimum lot area
and/or minimum lot width which are being increased by this amendatory
ordinance, shall not henceforth be considered or classified as non-
confonning uses, despite the adoption of said amendments.
Subsection "D" of Section 160-129, entitled R-25 Residential Zone
regulations, is hereby amended to delete the second sentence thereof.
Subsection "B" of Section 160-119, entitled Yards, shall be amended and
supplemented to add the phrase, "(ie. grills, barbeques, swing sets
and/or lawn furniture)" after the word "equipment" and before the word
"including".

Section 5.
All ordinances and/or provisions thereof inconsistent with the provision of
this ordinance shall be and are hereby repealed as to the extent of any such
inconsistencies.
Section 6.
If any section, subsection, part, clause or phrase of this ordinance shall be
declared invalid by judgment of any Court of competent jurisdiction, the
section, subsection, part, clause or phrase shall be deemed to be severable
from the remainder ofthis ordinance.
Section 7.
This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication according to
applicable Jaw.

SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 160 ENTITLED LAND

As recommended by the Carteret Planning Board:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Cðrteret as follows:
Section 1. 160 Attachment 1, entitled Borough of
Carteret, Development Ordinance, Bulk

February 16, 2006 when it was adopted on FIrst
