City Attorney Grant Coordinator originator SUMMARY STATEMENT: The JAG program supports all components of the criminal justice system and provides funding for equipment, personnel, training, and technology improvements and other law enforcement needs. A particular focus is drug prevention, enforcement, treatment, and prosecution. The McCall Police Department wishes to apply for JAG funding in the amount of $60,000. The purpose of the funding is to provide drug related testimony training, and the purchase of necessary surveillance equipment. This grant will not require a match of funds by the City of McCall. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve submission of an Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents. RECORD OF COUNCIL ACTION Meeting Date ACTION
