SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall applied for a Certified Local Government (CLG) grant to nominate the Asst. Fire
Warden's House at the Central Idaho Historic Museum site to the National Register of Historic Places. The
nomination paperwork has been completed and submitted to the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).
It is on file at City Hall for review. Since the City of McCall is a Certified Local Government, one
requirement for the nomination process is the CLG's review of the nomination and the opportunity for
public comment. The McCall Historic Preservation Commission held a publicly noticed meeting on
October 20, 2009 to take comment on the nomination.
The SHPO requires a letter from the CLG recognizing that the nomination was reviewed and that the
nomination is supported. A draft letter is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the nomination to the National Register of Historic Places of the Assistant Fire Warden's
House, and authorize the Mayor to sign the letter of support.
