SUMMARY STATEMENT:
An application for a Conditional Use Permit. The proposed use will consist of 5-12 students in grades 5-8
in an existing structure at 116 N. 3rd Street. The applicant has worked extensively with the agencies that
have regulations regard a school, including the Building Department, Fire Department, Central District
Health, and the Idaho Department of Education and has either secured formal approval or is the process of
secure such approval.
On September 1, 2009 meeting the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing
for the consideration of the application. At that meeting the application was recommended for approval by
the Council. The Commission further recommended that the second public hearing was not necessary.
The complete land use file is available for review during normal working hours in the Community
Development Department located at the McCall City Hall, 216 East Park Street, McCall, Idaho 83638.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff recommends approval of CUP-09-04 for Valley Academy of Idaho, LLC subject to the attached
Findings and Conclusions.
