SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Idahoans for Music and the Environment (IdahoME) and the McCall Folklore Society are requesting
permission to hang a highway banner to advertise the Art on the Lake Community Arts Celebration. The
event will be held September 19th and 20t, 2009 at Legacy Park and Lake Street.
They have requested the banner be hung from Sept l lth through Sept 20t 2009. Due to public works staff
schedules, the banner will need to be hung Sept 10t in order to be up for the weekend. If Council does not
approve the banner, it will be removed.
McCall City Code reads:
3.9.04: TEMPORARY SIGNS: The following signs shall be permitted anywhere within the planning
jurisdiction and shall not require a permit:
(D) Street Banner Signs: Street banner signs advertising a public entertainment or event, if, after the
submittal and approval by the council of an application, and only for locations designated by the
administrator, during and for fourteen (14) days before and seven (7) days after the event.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve request to hang Highway Banner for the Art on the Lake Community Arts Celebration.
