SUMMARY STATEMENT:
McCall City Code 8-14-4(C) prohibits dogs within all parks. The Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee
has been reviewing the issue and has made a recommendation to the Council. See the attached materials
from Shorty Clarke, Committee Chairman.
The Council may also wish to consider allowing dogs on the golf course, either during the winter only or all
year long. McCall City Code 8-15-1(A) prohibits dogs on the golf course. The golf advisory committee has
not reviewed the issue.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Direct staff to
1. prepare an ordinance for the Council's consideration which would amend City Code to allow
dogs in designated parks and allow dogs off -leash in designated parks; and
2. prepare a resolution for the Council's consideration which would designate certain parks as open
to dogs, either on or off -leash
