RESOLUTION NO. 95 -3453
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY ADOPTING THE 1994 EDITIONS OF THE STANDARD PLANS
AND STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS
CONSTRUCTION, THE 1994 EDITION OF THE ADDITIONS AND
AMENDMENTS TO THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC
WORKS CONSTRUCTION AND THE 1995 EDITION OF THE
STANDARD PLANS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City has adopted the 1991 Edition of the
Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction; and
WHEREAS, members of the Southern California Chapters of the America . Public' `e,orks
Association and the Associated General Contractors of California, working a 01.0i14 Cooperative Cott'e,
have compiled the 1994 Editions of the Standard Plans and Standard Sp-:-.- cfit atio for Pi ht ?'vcvks
Construction; and ,r
WHEREAS, a uniformity of standards will serve to minimize conflict ad coiifusion in public works
construction and will tend to lower construction costs for future public works projects through competitive
bidding by private contractors; and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Director of Public Works was represented on the Joint
Committee which compiled, the' 1:194 Edition and recommend its adoption to the Los Angeles Board of
Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, to meet the needs of Los Angeles County Department of Public Works supplements
and an e ,dinents to the 1994 Editions of the Standard Plans and Standard Specifications were developed
for public works construction and are reflected in the 1994 Edition of the Los Angeles County Additions
and Amendments to the.Standar'd Specifications for Public Works Construction and the 1995 Edition of
the Standard Plans.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City resolves that:
SECTION 1. The 1994 Edition of the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction,
prepared by the APWA -AGC Joint Committee, be adopted.
SECTION 2. The 1994 Edition of the Standard Plans for Public Works Construction, prepared
by the APWA -AGC Joint Committee, be adopted.
SECTION 3. The 1994 Edition of the Los Angeles County Additions and Amendments to the
Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction prepared by the Department of Public Works, be
adopted.
SECTION 4. The 1995 Edition of the Standard Plans (The Supplement to the APWA Standard
Plans), prepared by the Department of Public Works, be adopted.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
County's Director of Public Works.

SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
