SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Council adopted a tentative budget in the amount of $16,320,694 on July 10, 2009
Council conducted a duly noticed, public hearing at the August 13 Council meeting regarding the tentative
FY10 budget. Changes to the tentative budget were made to reflect the actual Growth and Annexation
property tax amounts received from the County Clerk, and the actual award for the COPS grant (requested
three grant funded positions but were awarded one) resulting in a decrease of $208,696 from the tentative
budget.
The public hearing was left open until August 20, 2009 so the public could submit written comments. As of
August 19, 2009 no additional comment was received by staff, should any comments be submitted prior to
the end of the comment period, August 20, 2009, they will be made available to Council.
Also attached are two memos from Lindley Kirkpatrick, one dated August 5, 2009, explaining the major
changes since the adoption of the tentative budget, and one dated August 12, 2009 summarizing the major
elements of the Recommended FY 10 budget.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
1. Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only Ordinance No. 867.
2. Adopt Ordinance No. 867 setting the FY10 City of McCall budget appropriation at $16,111,998.
